Welcome to THE top high security film/TV/music video location in the country!
While most productions use spaces built to look like a jail or temporarily rent part of an active facility, we offer an entire facility - completely dedicated to filming.
AND - on top of that - in July 2023, Missouri established a video production tax credit equal to up to 42 percent of qualifying production costs. You can learn more at Motion Media Production Tax Credit Program | Department of Economic Development.
Formerly the Cass County Jail, this solid brick and concrete building was built to last! It's located less than 2 blocks from the historic town square at 208 W Pearl St, Harrisonville, MO 64701. Harrisonville is easily accessible via I-49, bus, many nearby regional airports, and the Kansas City International Airport which is an hour away.
The ~5,000 sq ft high security area contains 34 cells with toilets and sinks in 4 two story cell blocks that each have a shower. Every cell block is visible from secure viewing areas.
Having 4 cell blocks means that it's much easier to configure the space to match your vision. Need Army Green for a military prison, old and rusty for a future zombie apocalypse, sterile white for a mental hospital, or grey for your standard "jail" look? We can do any of those, plus custom looks.
A large radio tower and secure chain link fenced area on the north side of the building add to the ambiance.
The high security area also includes:
- Visitation area
- Guard room
- Room that can be armory or locker room
- Break room
- Infirmary
- Large "bullpen" room that can double as command center or bunker...or use it for wardrobe/makeup/ craft/crew break area
The remaining ~5,000 sq ft of office space is also very secure from the exterior.
There are approximately 15 parking spaces on site, plus daily free city parking lot across street with longer term parking available.
We have connections within the city if you need a downtown scene, courthouse, park, lake, golf course, airstrip (city airport), etc.

NOTE: While we respect everyone’s artistic vision, we are unable to accommodate low/no budget productions, productions without insurance, etc. All production companies are responsible for the applicable filming permits and any special use permits that may be required.
